On May 18, 2023, a teaser for the song's animated music video was released on BLACKPINK's YouTube channel.[1] On July 4, the team which made the game issued a statement and said that the song and its music video would be released within a month.[2] On August 4, the team made another statement, apologizing for the long wait and announcing that the official release date for the song is August 23rd.[3] The song was released in game on August 23, and on streaming services on August 25.
