BOOMBAYAH (붐바야 bumbaya) is a song recorded by South Korean girl group BLACKPINK. It is the second, last and title track from their debut digital single album SQUARE ONE.

Composition[]

The beginning is based on a production using 808 drums and bass, and features a whistling-themed melody line that sounds like spitting out, ear-tickling water droplet effects, and an addictive hip-hop song where you can enjoy rap that seems to play with the beat and appealing singing at the same time. The whistle hook in the chorus is so catchy that you'll find yourself humming it over and over again, and the lyrics earnestly express the desire to confirm that love, saying that among all the men who look at her, there is only one true love for her.
